I've got a 1986 O'Day 192 and I have a few questions about how I control the jib. (1) There are 2 tracks (with car) on the cabin top which are relatively close to the centerline of the boat. There's also another set of tracks (with car) on the cockpit coaming just aft of the cabin. My question is: Which set of tracks are intended to be used for jib control? I'm using a standard, hank-on jib. (2) What is the purpose of the set of tracks on the cockpit coaming? These are a problem because the screws holding the cars to the deck are coming out and I cannot see how to get to the inside of the coaming to tighten or replace the screws and nuts. I'd appreciate any suggestions or direction that anyone can provide.
