The ODay 19 insignia on side of hull within the blue stripe appears to be a "decal" and is badly chewed up. I plan to repaint the blue stripe and ideally I would purchase a new decal. Any idea where I might get one? Otherwise I paint the old one white ... Over the blue horizontal strope.
Thanks, Bill

You might consider tracing what you have and use sail repair or numeral tape from rig rite and cut your own. Will be neater than paint. Roger

Rather than dealing with the cracked and pealing stripes, I simply removed all of them from my O'Day 19. It looks "cleaner" without the stripes. AND I don't have to worry about damaging any replacements.

Just want to suggest the option that has "less maintenance". I tend to remove and not replace any "ornamentals" once they are damaged or worn since they don't affect how the boat sails.

I've had my boat name and O'day logos made at a local quick sign shop. I've taken them the graphics - done online for the transom boat name, but done by hand for the O'day 34 logos on the side of the boat. They were quick and very inexpensive. The vinyl logos for the side of the boat have been on for 9 years and are probably getting to the point I should replace them.

That's why I took mine off and didn't replace them! <grin>

Having the large areas covered with stick-on decals is a matter of taste. I prefer the cleaner look with minimal decals since the decals will get scratched and ultimately peal over time. I definitely would not paint replacement lines, being a minimalist.

Mostly, I wanted to original poster to consider the possibility of not replacing the decals since they don't affect how the boat will sail on the water. But if he insists, the replacement vinyl stripes will provide a good basis for a professional looking job!
