I recently returned for 7 day of crusing in the Pensacola, FL and Perdido Bay, AL area. The morning that I departed home, I loaded up the icebox with 3 frozen milk jugs, and all the stuff that needed to stay cool, I also plugged the bottom drain hole since there would not be any ice melting down. I was really suprised that after returing home and cleaning out the icebox, the 3 gallon jugs were still half frozen. The insulation is all origianl with no additions. There are not to many boats out there, new or old, that can make that claim. I hear a lot of boat owners claiming to only use their "icebox" for dry storage and use a cooler for perishables. Here are two links of photographs of our Pensacola Winter Cruise. I would love to see some more O'Days there next year maybe. http://www.mindspring.com/~benallen1/Pensacola.htm http://www.texassailor.com/pensacola2001.htm Ben Allen Montgomery, AL O'Day 26 "Latte Dah"

FYI on Milk Jugs

The "Milk Jugs" were filled with water. This also gave us additional drinking water if needed. Ben Allen
