Thank you for your advice Captn TJ,
my boat is french built, and went to the Beneteu dot com (European site) and I'm registered to that site as a boat owner. However, on the European site under the "Contact" they say "
Requests for technical and commercial informations on boats should be directed to a dealer of BENETEAU network. This e-mail is only for the webmaster (site issues, technical problems). We will not provide any answer for the technical inquiries."
so I tried the "dealer login" but there is no way to register.
The "Customer Service" and "After-Sales Service" sections apparently only apply to buyers of new boats from dealers, and no contact info is given.
However, on the US-site I was able to find my way to the spare parts "Syselios" registration and I'm now waiting for the account to be set up; there was a note it may take up to 24 hours.
BTW, anyone has experience about the BYC (Beneteau Yacht Club), among other things they mention "access to technical data on your boat" - is it any good? (Cost 70 eur/2yr.)
"With the BENETEAU Yacht Club you enter a very special world.
Joining the private inner circle of BENETEAU customers
means you gainaccess to exclusive privileges such as:
• Access to the members' directory
• Exchange of boats thanks to BETWEEN US,

• Preferential rates in the BYC boutique.
How do you join the BENETEAU Yacht Club*?
