Oceanis 281 bearing

Took out the cutlass bearing on the 281. Putting the new one in I got it all the way in except for about 1/8". Do I need to try to pull it back out or can I leave that dab hanging out?

I would call that project done. At 1/8" it probably isn't touching the prop.

There's a couple of inches between the prop and the skeg.
