I need a 12" top plate for the new double bend pedestal guard I just ordered. I contacted Ocean Marine where the guard came from and they do make a 12" top plate (TP225). West Marine has this item, but it is a special order item and costs $180. I know that one person on this forum has made one from teak, but I am wondering if anyone might have a pattern for this unit or do I order one, then make a pattern and return it? I was told that West Marine has sold only 5 units of this 12" top plate. That seems odd, but maybe they meant this month! Comments welcome. Greg W.
