Any thoughts about the quality of Ocean Link tanks? Their write-up on the web sounds good but any experience with them? Geoff

URL for the write-up?

I've never heard of 'em....are they a tank mfr,or just a retailer? Do they have a catalog on the web?

Nope...just retailers/distributors

Coincidentally, right after I saw your post I had a call from someone who'd bought a Kracor tank from Ocean Link. I just went to their website...if you check their tank drawings against the Ronco Plastics catalog (link below), you'll see they're identical. They install systems as well as just sell equipment...they apparently buy their tanks as "blanks" (without any fittings installed) and spin-weld 'em in themselves, which allows 'em to keep the most common shapes/sizes in inventory. If they're local to you, their ability to spin-weld could come in handy if you need to add a fitting or need one in another location. Ronco will install fittings in the sizes and locations you specify when they make your tank. So if Ocean Link isn't local to you, I'd compare their prices with Ronco's (Kracor doesn't sell direct) and go with the best price...you'll end up with the same tank.

Thanks.

I talked to them on the phone today about getting fittings to convert my bow tank. They said it can be done with a "uniseal." I talked with Andy Cortvriend. He was helpfull and did not try and push me into a new tank. Of course, I'm not capable of determining if he knows what he is talking about but his conversation left a positive impression. The bow tank feels quite thick so perhaps I'll try that. Geoff
