ob motor mounts.........

i have a hunter 23 that im trying to sell. its a good boat except for the original motor mount which is a piece of junk. has anyone changed this out and if so to what type ie; fixed or adjustable. as i dont have a motor, should i make that decision with a particular motor in mind.thanks in advance........martin

Try this

Mount a standard version, available from any boat supplier. Suggest putting a stiff piece of plywood on the inside as a reinforcement plate. Size of motor is no big deal, except whether you'll go for a long shaft (recommended). Just re-mount where the old one is.
