ob fuel line (honda)

Have the 1994 honda 9.9 on my 26..the fuel ine connector from the line into the engine has gone bad. Got a new one from honda dealer that is two pieces, one the connector and the other what appears to have to go inside the motor .Honda 04104-zw9-000. anyone done this Before? It appears(without having access to the boat) that I don't need both parts...parts were 44$.......When I was at the lake they had Mercury/honda female fitting that fit the motor but not my hose for 7.95. Should I just get a new fuel line? Is the size of the part that goes into the fuel tank standard?

If your referring to the screw in connector on the gas tank? It is not standard. I purchased a 6.5 gallon tank to supplement the 3 gallon tank.I ended up taking the connector off the 3 gallon tank and installing it on the 6.5 gallon tank.I searched high and low for that connector and still haven't found one. The only way I know of getting one is by purchasing the complete honda ob gas tank. If anyone has been able to find that tank fitting for the quick release fuel line please let me know.
