Oarlocks on a '65 Sprite?

Hi, I recently purchased a restored 1965 O'Day Sprite (not listed under boat models?). I wonder whether I could add oarlocks to it, instead of an outboard. Well, I suppose I can add anything I want to it, but wonder if anyone else has done this. Are there generic oarlocks, or should I be looking for something special? It doesn't seem complicated, but any feedback is helpful.

Here's a time lapse of me rigging it for the first time:

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

Check out this guys boat:

Actually we plan to do something similar with the winches as the mounts.
We carry long canoe paddles at the moment and have used them quite a few times. One can never be too prepared and we enjoy to be as self sufficient as possible.

Have thanked God many times for having the motor also. I suppose it all depends on the conditions you plan to put your boat out in on whether you might need one or not.

Thanks for the tip! We'll see what kind of conditions I get into as I get more comfortable with the boat. Casual family lake voyages is about all I expect at the moment. I appreciate your help.

I have oar locks installed on my Day Sailer II. I installed them in line with where the main sheet block is on the CB trunk. My rowing seat was made to span across the CB trunk and rest on the seats. The attached picture from when the boat was getting prepared for the Texas 200 last year shows the oar locks.
