give a good welder a try
My IRWIN 37 IS A '76 model and the bowsprit is made out of wood and glss. The newer models are made of aluminum tubing. I suspect stainless would work too.I had the opportunity to watch a welder do his thing on another boat, a 125'er, and I was impressed. I am positive he could make me a new bowsprit out of stainless, but would use the old one for a template. Your problem isw you have no template. So, call all the marinas in your area, or email them and ask "Do you have any Irwin 37's or 38's in your yard?" Chancews are they might, or will know where to locate one. In the event you cannot find anything, email me at tho52mas@netscape.net as there are two where I store my boat for the winter, and they have one glass (mine) and one aluminum (Woolly Bear). I can go down and get some rough measurements.
