Hi all!
It's been awhile since posting and I have a few new questions. I want to install a compass and I really don't like the idea of cutting a hole that protrudes through the bulkhead then thru the plywood into the cabin area (even with the cool cover they provide). Any ideas for a fixed mounting method/point for my Ritchie Venture 2?

Lastly, I obtained a Garmin 441S GPS and I am exploring methods to mount it . Again I really don't like the idea of drilling through the bulkhead fiberglass. I was considering a Ram mount that mounts inside on the teak plywood bulkhead vertically and swings out into the companionway opening for use. thoughts? Is there room behind the teak plywood to run the cabling?

I have my compass mounted on the Starboard bulkhead with a wire for the compass light. I wasn't too keen on boring a 4" hole through my bulkhead either but I've had that same compass for as long as I've had my boat and it is still in great working condition.
Here's some ideas you my want to persue that involves DIY with StarBoard compliments of my friend Wayne who let me take these pics.
