Nylon Stern Bearing

We have to pull the combi unit for repair. When we do this we would
like replace the stern bearning. In reading over the "files" link we
discovered the existance of a Nyoil stern bearning. Can anyone tell
us where to order this part? Has anyone had any experience with this
installation? Any other advice concerning the overhaul of the combi
unit?

Hi Jodi;

it's a 10 minute job! Brake a hack saw blade in half and
cut a V-groove into to old plastic bearing. You can then
use a screw-driver to collapse the old bearing and then
pull it out with a small pair of plyers.
Use a broomstick and a piece of clothe and push the clothe
through the hole (to clean it). Then put in the new
bearing, and with a piece of wood as cushion you can hammer
the new bearing in... done!
