Went out to the marina last week and this was parked at the visitors dock...

It's 168 feet. I felt very small sailing past it.

They're filming a move there, so I think it's being used as a prop, or maybe some big time actor decided to yacht over to the set.

That's just a Mac26X with lots of mods - owners are famous for them.

The Coast Guard has three documented vessels calles wheels. One is a 38 footer. One other is noted on the attached and a third is almost as big at 109feet with a 11 foot draft. You can search on this stuff on the net. Both of the large yachts called wheels have owners in Charlotte NC.

I thought it was 'Wheeler' on the transom, but I remember the side and transom name matched, so it must be 'Wheels'. Nascar and Wheels makes sense, but to boat is more the 109 ft.

I got the 168' from a post the marina's facebook page, no idea if that's accurate, but there is aerial shot of the boat up against a sea wall just outside the harbor, and using google earth that potrion of the wall measures 150' to 160'.

Call me a pissant, but boats like this don't impress me much. I get a lot more excited about someone who, by themselves, restores, maintains, and extensively cruises/races a vintage boat in the under 40 foot range. If you got millions you can simply pay others to do the real work and pilot the boat. what is the accomplishment of that? I respect the actual worker/sailor.

One of the vessels i provided info about is 138.9 feet long. This info is from searching on documented vessels. If it is not documented or is a foreign flagged vessel the info would not be in the data base I looked at. If it is documented it must be the longer one of these. It is a 2009 vessel so it is very new. I can't speak to the accuracy of measurements by google earth sattelite but my guess is +/- a barn door would be about as good as you would get.

I think I saw this one

I think I saw this boat at Palafox Marina, in Pensacola a few weeks ago. Sorta makes sense if they were coming from NC to New Orleans. If I could have the fuel costs for this thing, I could sure live a lot higher life style.
