Not sailing related at all but relevant to me from my previous life.

Interesting note here is that is an inert GBU-10 the #2,000 MK-84 bomb body is filled with concrete rather than explosive material. It can hit within three feet of a designated target.

We started using BDU-50 and BDU-56 practice bombs (inert version of #500 MK-82 and BDU-56 inert version of #2,000 MK-84) operationally after Desert Storm. The "bad" guys started putting their Anti Aircraft radar units and other thing they were not supposed to use in or near hospitals schools and mosques. Explosives are not needed when #2,000 of concrete and iron crashes through your van at 600mph. Collateral damage is reduced very significantly.

I always hate the way they advertise zero emission, but yet it runs on electricity generated by emission producing generators. Unless they build a nuclear powered ship, emissions are produced.
Amen to that! Most people forget about the supply chain, manufacturing process and finally the disposal of "fuel" and associated motors/engines
