26 dimensions
Kevin-I will be on the boat tomorrow and will send the dimensions on Friday.I bought a 1982 NS26 in October of 03 so this is my second sailing season. A couple of thoughts.I needed to replace most (all) of the blocks for the halyard and main sheet. Last summer it was a bear to raise the sail. This summer with new blocks, it is much, much easier. If you go that route, call Murray Cressman (he's on the Nonsuch web-site) for equipment. Murray is very helpful. The boat is wonderfully made, very solid and well fitted. I have the 13 HP engine and with a folding prop, it is most adequate. She does not point as well as a sloop or any boat with a headsail but man does she motor downwind. I've passed may 35'+ boats going wing and wing on a downwind run. There is a learning curve with the boat, as said somewhere, remember the sail is larger than the main on most 35 footers. She will ALWAYS get attention becuase of the uniqeness of the rig. I happen to like the compliments that come with ownership.I have the Classic model and have removed the table from the forward area. Much more room that way.A couple of comments on the cockpit, roomy for 5-6 adults; however with a destroyer wheel, it is difficult to go forward as the side of the wheel almost reaches the inward side of the seat area.I'm still learning things but at 6'-2" I need to bend forward when the boom washes the cockpit. Perhaps the boom needs to be higher--I'm working on that matter. That's it for now. I'll get back to you with the dimensions on Friday.Mike
