The non skid on my '78 H25 is getting pretty worn and needs to be redone. Any suggestions.

Just last Wednesday. . . .

I painted my cockpit sole. Took less than 90 minutes, mostly prep and taping. I washed, then sanded, then washed, and finished with a wipe of mineral spirits. I used the blue tape to mask and found I could actually bend it around some curves. For the corners I used several short strips and then a sharp blade to get the radius. Used Interlux Brightside one-part polyurethane in Off-white color. Mixed in the Interlux non-skid and brushed it on. Took about 1/5th of a quart. I like the color and, finally, it is no longer slippery. I had done the cockpit seats over the winter. Now for the rest of the boat(H37C).

Me too!

Though it has been an ongoing project, I used the same system as Ed, and, it turned out great. I have an '82 Hunter 27, and, I used the Kingston Grey Brightside(just a tad greyer than I really wanted) with the non-skid additive. Unfortunately, I got a lot of blisters due to painting when it's 90 degrees in the hot sun, however, after a lot of touch up, it actually looks pretty damn good.

Used Pettit

Painted our non-skid on our 83,H-30 with Pettit Easy Poxy. Great product! Used Intrlux non-skid - like the texture better than Pettit non-skid. Used the Easy Poxy in cockpit sole without non-skid in drain areas - looks like new gel coat. The Pettit works real nice and levels without any brush/roller marks..
