Help! My non-skid is in need of some TLC. I have no Idea what to do with it. Wax is not the answer I am sure, so what is? I have heard that some household floor wax might do the trick.

Gelcoat Forum

You might ask Jim over in the Gelcoat Forum on this site. I'm sure one of his Island Girl products would work wonders and wouldn't leave a waxy residue. LaDonna

Non skid

Tom, did you get any information on your non skid question? I to would like to try something to brighten up the non skid without making it slippery. Thanks Bob.

Bob yes

I have chosen Sure Step made by Aurora Marine. I have a Buddy with the same 20 year old boat and it really did a number on his deck. Looks great and was easy. Check their website for info on dealers near you. They are Candian firm with few dealers in my area at least. I am doing the work this weekend on my deck so wish me luck

Try "FUTURE"

Just read a dozen or so discussions regarding the use of FUTURE (the floor shine stuff). The folks who loved it followed specific steps. I'm going to try it soon. It's not a wax. I think it was on the links page at www.catalina30.com. Look for a C34 web site/page and check out the FAQs. If this is not good info, I post a correction to the site for you.

Here's the site that includes the discussion, pro and con, about FUTURE for non-skid areas. Good luck.

Aurora Sure-Step

I've heard many great comments about the Aurora product. I have molded-in non-skid on my Catalina and plan to get some Sure-Step soon.
