I was asked about the non skid on "Patience." I used a pre mixed non skid from West Marine. Sounds kind of scary but if you prep correctly and make sure that the material is well mixed the job will come out good. I will try and post some before and after pictures on this site. My wife and our kids (all boys...hard workers...)have spent quite a few hours on this boat. We found her in Nevada at Lake Mead and had her trucked to San Diego Ca. She lived in fresh water all her life so the refit had great potential. Spring commissioning will include Furuno radar and solar panels mounted at the stern rail. Sometimes I believe that "Patience" may find herself offshore in blue water but we would probably take quite a beating in heavy weather. My wife and I love the traditional lines of the Cherubinis. The boat is really built well for a production model. There are a lot of things that lend this model to a cruising boat (large cockpit drain, well built quality hatches, narrow companionway, good interior handholds)to name only a few. Our dream boat is a Hans Christian 38. I hope we can wait. If we cant it may be a wild ride.
