I need to repair some cracks on my non skid and want to use the flex mold sold in the store. Does anyone have an idea what pattern this would be? Also is

There a source where they sell the grey gel coat in less then a gallon can?

Thanks Steve - after much thought I've decided to let the yard do the repair. By the time I buy the mold for the non skid and the gel coat it will probably be about the same price. Just hope they can do a decent job of matching the gel coat and non skid.

What many of you do ot know, there is what is called reverse non skid that is the mold of the acutaul non skid. The area in question is applied with wax and then the area to replace with new gel coat is sanded smooth. Then I would fit the reverse non skid pattern over and put tape on one end. Then the gel coat to put in the new gel coat was applied. The reverse non skid would then fold over the area to be repaired. Excess gel coat would ooze out over the waxed area later to be removed very easily due to the wax. Then the reverse non skid would be removed and you have the non skid repaired. You should look into that.

Well this has turned into a bit of a fiasco. The yard gave me a quote for 4K to do the repair to the non-skid so that is out of the question. I'm thinking of doing a temporary repair by widening the cracks and filling with epoxy for now and do a permanent fix after the season. From what I could tell from a closer look this is actually gelcoat with a non slip grey paint over the gelcoat I'm thinking maybe interlux non slip paint will work when I do the permanent repair.

Here was Eddie Breedons reply concerning the gel coat.
"The records say (though not always correct) that it is a gelcoat surface...painted in the mold. There is always a chance that it was rolled with gelcoat after being built. That would give a wax/shinny surface."

"Interlux Interdeck Polyurethane Non-Skid Deck Coating is an excellent, easy to apply slip resistant polyurethane finish for decks. Interdeck contains a fine aggregate and will apply easily on all substrates. Interdeck provides a low sheen finish that helps protect against dazzle from sunlight reflected off decks. A tough polyurethane resin protects decks against everyday wear and tear. Interdeck is suitable for all substrates"

Any suggestions on how to grind the area down when I do the premanent repair?
