Has anyone had any experience with Epifanes Wood Finish Gloss varnish?
It is advertised as a "no sand" between coats varnish????
Thank you.

there was a man refinishing a Westsail down in Mobil last year that i came across in the yard ...he had used it on his hatch covers and the finish looked like fine furniture...it looked like it was 2 feet deep when done...i think he put on 6 coats ....i would sand a board of some sort and test it for my self to see how it goes ....

regards

woody

I couldn't see not sanding varnish after the first six coats. How else are ya gonna get rid of the grain holdout? As for not sanding between coats, we use Flagship and don't sand between hot coats. No need....

I have had great success with Sikkens Cetol Marine. They recommend you do NOT sand between coats. I made teak steps for my swim ladder last spring and used it with amazing results. The bottom two steps spend many, many hours in the water and after two seasons of water and weather they look awesome. I am redoing all mu teak one piece at a time with it. 3 coats. sometimes 4
