No more shower water in the bilge of my First 35

I live aboard my First 35 and have been increasingly unhappy with a bilge full of water from the head shower. Dispite adding a chunk of styrofoam to the float switch, the flat bilge still collects a lot of water before the pump kicks in, requiring regular cleaning. The depth of the shower basin allowed me to install a rule 350 bilge pump and float switch (fixed in place with goop or caulking to avoid screw holes) in the shower drain basin and plugged off the drain to the bilge. I ran the wiring and drain hose up through a hole in the wooden grill, around the back of the toilet and connected the drain hose to my sink drain. The wiring carried on under the sink and under the settee and connected to the existing wiring for my bilge pump.
