No moorings on Kawai???

I am here on Kauai Hawaii and I'm finding that there are no mourings or slips on the island. The waters are rough and there is a 15 year wait at the naWiliwili small boat Harbor for a slip. any comments or insights on where you couldn't store a 27 foot Catalina sailboat

I am from Kauai and as far as I know, the only year round mooring is Nawiliwili. In the summer you can anchor in Hanalei but in the winter it is too rough.

Kauai can be an inhospitable place for sailing, one of the reasons it was never conquered by Kamehameha!

So very true. But bad for pocket sailoring
