Have a Beneteau 31 with on board battery charger and inverter. I am getting no charge to batteries from the charger when hooked to shore power or from the alternator when the motor is running. I can't find any problem with a fuse or breaker. Any ideas about something to try? Jim

as we dont know how your system is all connected together, the only thing I can suggest is that you check all the connections.... and there is probably a fuse at the batteries to look at also...
Charging problems are NO fun and I've had a few, just need to start eliminating possibilities and end up at the problem. Like centerline said, we don't know your installation or familiarity with your systems so it's hard to pinpoint a quick fix from your post.
First: How are you determining you are getting no charge?
I'd check the outputs from the charging sources, I would focus on the shore power charger first since has less moving parts than the diesel. Perhaps the charging issues are connected but there is also a good chance they are not.

Do you have a wiring diagram for your boat? That's the best way to start. If not, make one, and you can get one on the internet, no doubt, like this:

Don't forget to press the "Charge" button on your Zantrex. We've had the boat coming up on a year and I still forget. You may need to press it twice as the first push of any button is a wake up for the unit.
