My 1997 Catalina was hit by lightning at some time. The only apparent damage was fried instruments which were replaced at a local marina. After I brought the boat back to my dock I decided to charge the batteries. Hummm...charger doesn't work; it must have been blown by the lightning. OK, I'll use an automobile charger and plug it into a 120VAC outlet. Hummm, no 120VAC with shore power connected. Shore power is on--I tested it. Could the 120VAC main circuit breaker be blown? I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

Lots of possibilities

If the 120VAC breaker is blown Can't you just reset it? Is the 120VAC outlet OK? Have you plugged something else into the 120VAC outlet on the boatto be sure you have juice to teh outlet? (Vacuum cleaner? Blender?) Does the auto charger work at home? Does the auto charger draw more than the 120VAC breaker on the boat allows? Are the batteies still good & able to take a charge? You've got some diagnosis to do before we can help you.
