I am in process of re-installing Volvo Diesel engine in my Vega
SV/Puffin 1554.
I will be selling my 1999 Nissan 9.8 with eletric start , battery
hookups, transom mounting bracket, 2 gas tanks, and hose. All in
excellent condition and working great. Engine is very dependable and
just completly serviced.
If anyone out there is interested let me know.
I am on coast of North Carolina.
Engine cost when new $1,700.00 asking $950.00
Best regards to all.

Hi Giani,

Just to let you know, I've decided to go with an inboard eventhough
your engine is a fantastic deal. I am hoping to work out a deal with
Dave Fuchs on his MD6a when he repowers. I was out at Bock Marine
today buying a jack stand for the bow and looked for you again. Whats
a good time to catch you? Call if you like: 728-6120

Also, I have a general question: Are there any inherent problems with
the thru-hull fittings on a 1975 Vega? I had my new boat moved to a
storage area today and emptied it of all the disassembled interior
panels. This includes everything except the v-berth and the bulkhead
under the mast. The good news is that now its easy to get to those
fittings. Since I am pretty much starting from scratch, I might as
well begin with the hull. Then I will begin the 3-d jigsaw puzzle
that is my cabin.

Cheers,
Rob

Hi Rob
Sorry for all the bad press (BS) you have had to indure over this
transaction.
I sould have spoke up sooner on your behalf (sorry)
Engine is great so far and have spent a lot of time getting squared
away
have had a few good sails in between Monsoons we have been having.
Let me know where to send Money and I will and put a stop to this.
I asume the sail is well used but I really don't care.
Still owe you a sail, let's do it soon
Best regards,
Gianni
