Hello happy Alden owners!
Here's some news from the Mary-Lou. We sailed at the end of July from the tip of Brittany to Tancarville near the port of Le Havre. It was undoubtedly a challenge(r) because this Alden hadn't been on the water for 4-5 years. She behaved very well, the weather was rather nice with 16 knots of wind maximum downwind almost all the time. A few breakdowns, but nothing major, concerning the electric windlass and the bow motor. The bottoms remained perfectly dry, which is good news after all... She is a very seaworthy boat that doesn't hit the waves at the bow, but rolls up, it's a pleasure. This is undoubtedly due to a very well-designed hull. ML will now benefit from a small refit this year in a shipyard before joining a permanent home port on the Channel.
