is there a classic flaw in the hull design, behind the keel area?
something routinely called oil-canning?
seems ther boat is weak there & depending how you place jack stands it can pop in. who has info?

My 1974 is possibly sturdy. The hull is VERY thick where you indicate oil canning. We burned out two holesaws putting ion a new transducer. The 30's are built like tanks.

In almost every fiberglass boat that has jack stands too tight you will see oil canning unless they are placed at a bulkhead joint. I have also seen a Beneteau where the reverse was true. The hull deflected around the keel. Common sense is required by the yard crew. There was a reason for the cradles. Unfortunately they are mostly extinct.
Try using larger pads and more stands. Distribute the load.

This issued is called Pushing. It is the fault of the Yard Crew not setting the Boat properly. Can be remedied by resetting. Mine 28II was on the hard for 15 years and had pushed on both sides in the aft section. I pointed it out to the Yard crew, who reset for nothing (Which should be the case, since they set it)
The push came back out in about 4 days. Most of the weight needs to be on the keel.
