Newport (Calif) to Ensenada

Yesterday was the start of a 125 nm race to Ensenada, Mexico. There were over 450 starters. The two tallest sails that are just right of center are America's Cup boats that are run by Dennis Conners. His "Stars and Stripes" was one of them. They both came in under full Spinnaker, sailed through the fleet, and came about and returned to the Los Angeles area. They were really impressive. I saw one HC50 from nearby Marina del Ray. John Richards/v Jack's Place

Connor

I believe Connor was in a Shock boat not on one of the America's Cup boats. I have a picture I took of his boat just before the start if I can figure how to include it in this post.As for Hunters we took a trophy home in the Crusing Gen B division with a Hunter 32 Vision.Sorry, I can't figure how to include the Connor picture!
