How do you remove an acrylic coating (Newglass2) from your hull? We have tried ZEP floor stripper, but it requires 5 minutes to work. It does not stay on a vetical surface long enough. If we hold a cloth soaked with stripper on the surface for 5 minutes it works, but this process is very slow and tiring.

Poliglow

Poliglow is the same type product and their kit comes with a stripper solution. Worked good for us. www.poliglow.net I believe.

Try ammonia!

Jerry: Try ammonia straight (with a twist of lemon). This is what we always used prior to floor wax stripper. Why are you removing this stuff?

Use PoliPrep from Poli Glow

As Tony said, it really works well to remove any previous acrylic finish. It will also remove any old wax. Read the instructions (see link) before you use it. The new formulation is thicker than the old, and holds well on vertical surfaces.

Go to the website

NuGlass has a product for stripping old finishes. Go to their website. I just bought it, $15.00, well worth it, works great!
