I am very happy with my 1981 oday 25 purchase...it seems to have come with everything that I will need..except for one important item..a bilge pump..very strange that this was never installed..it is a very dry boat but still...do most people use an automatic bilge with a hose that goes through the hull? Has anyone got away with just using a manual bilge pump whenever needed?

I installed a manual bilge pump many years ago in my 222 and I've never had to use it, but it's operable from right in the cockpit with a detachable handle that I keep in the cabin.

I recently purchased an oday 25 1980 and also surprised at no bilge pump, I plan toinstall an electric with float sw. at the deepest point center of cabin and run hose to vanitity sink teed in with a loop as high as the bottem of the counter top to prevent inflow. and later I want to install a manuel diaphram style pump within reach of the helm. the suction would be in the cockpit locker behind the h20 tank and require a thru hull.
