I purchsed a new wooden tiller to replace my old metal one. How do you install it and where do you attahch the cleat for the rudder?

It should be pretty obvious once you get the old one off. You'll have to loosen the bolts on the side plates and remove the through bolt that holds the tiller. you may have to drill a hole in your new tiller for this bolt. The cleat should go approx the same distance forward of the through hole in the new tiller as it did on the old tiller. Before I'd drill any holes I'd check the fit on the boat 1st.
