New Windows

I am going to replace the large main cabin windows on my 1989 Cat 30. I was going to use Lexan, but another sailor said that Lexan suffers more from UV damage than does regular plexiglas. He said that I should use smoky color plexiglas. Any comments?

Plexi Glass

I need to change my windows and the plastic guys tell me that I need to use plexi glass not lexan plexi glass is harder and dose not scratch as much.They tell me they cut it with a router and a flush cut bit and they need my windows to copy them .I no I can cut plexi glass on a saw but the plexi is 350 bucks asheet and they will only get me a sheet.1/4 " plexi is stock but I think I need a thicker piece its sold in MM How thick are C30 windows?I think I like smoke plexxi it is the darkest plastic I can get in NY. I hope Ive helped John Olson
