OK the water tank is complete and ready for instalation.....it is made of 1/8" aluminum (6063)...and is the exact same shape as to original one(37 gal.) ......i installed 2 beckson 4"ports in the top for service and clean out access.... i have a baffel in the rear 2/3rds of the tank running for and aft on center....i have also installed a WEMA sending unit for a water gauge...i used aluminum pipe couplings for the inlet water( 1 1/2") and the outlet water(3/4) along with one for the vent hose(1/2").....they will connect to plastic hose barbs...i also welded 2x2- 1/4" aluminum angle to the top of the tank front and rear in order to fasten it to the bulk heads in the v birth using filler stock along with 1/4"bolts toggled through the bulk heads.....as for the cost ...i had my sheet metal buddy up in atlanta cut and break the two halves($250.00) so i could weld them myself keeping the cost down some what....it will be reinstalled in the water locker on 1/4" closed cell foam that i got from another frind that makes back braces and uses it for the liner in the full body braces......i may also contact cement some to the sides to insulate the tank...i have water tested... filled with water and had a drin valve installed at the time and when i drained it it stopped flowing creating a vaccum and also letting me know that i had forgot to take out another plug on order for it to drain.....the welds are not as nice as i used to do but they hold and work(after all i havent done much tig work in the last 25 years so i am a little rusty in that department but i feel they will be fine.....hope this helps some of you when you have tank problems......
