Hello,

My sail loft just recommended that I replace my roller furling jib. I'm looking for a 135. Does anyone have any leads on one. I'm located in south eastern mass.

Thanks,
Roger

i suggest you show the sail loft the same sail again next year. a local sail loft told me i needed a new genny one year, but the next year told me the same sail was just fine. can't hurt for you to try. good luck.

Roger,
Who is your sail loft? Curious, I've not used a local but would like recommendations. I had UPS'ed mine to Sail Care. They did a great job but a local guy would be better.

Say mate, before you go with a local sail loft (which most of us would recommend that we support) you should price compare online. There are SOOOO many sailmakers out there, (North-The Best, Doyle, Rolly Taskar, etc.)and time are tight. I think you'll find that many are very willing to be more competitve if you quote a price from one loft, ask them if they can beat it by 10%. The C 30 is the most popular 30 footer ever made, and we buy alot of sails as Catalina owners. That means that there are already many standard replacement C 30 mainsails & jibs out there. Also, don't pay for more sail then you need. Offshore grade sails cost more, but they will last longer. It just depends on what you do. Mostly day sailing? Then save some $$ & buy the standard weight dacron. My 2 c. worth.
