Catalina 25
Ahoy Dave, I don't have specs in front of me, but the dry weight of a Cat 25 is somewhere around 4500 lbs. I think that's without "stuff", stuff such as sails, rigging, mast, water, engine, your personal stuff, etc. It could easily weight as much as 1000 lbs more than that at any given time....maybe more. Displacement is simply the weight of water that the boat displaces so that it can float. You can, IMHO, use the two words interchangably. TrailRite makes most of Catalina's trailers but there a bunch of others out there that work just fine also. You can probably secure a parts list from CatalinaDirect, or probably Catalina itself. My recommendation would be to make yourself familiar with the Catalina 25 web site.....a bunch of Cat 25/250 owners who chitchat back and forth on matters just such as yours. If you were to join that association (a minor annual fee) I think they offer technical manuals etc. Give them a look, they are in the process of changing their site url, but I think there is still activity at www.trailersailor.com/forums/catalina25 Good luck.
