I just bought a gennaker and am not sure how to rig it properly. My boat is a catalina 25 tall rig. Catalina Direct sells a bail for attaching a spinnaker block to the top of the mast that places the block in front of the headstay. My mast already has a block that is located just below the jib halyard . I have been using this block but am having a lot of trouble with keeping the sail from getting twisted up.The block that I have been trying to use is slightly lower than the headstay. I am also using a snuffer. Should the block that I am trying to use be lower?

No, it should be higher than your headstay. Ideally, enough to allow the sock some freedom of movement over the top of the stay.
I have ordered the part from Catalina Direct. The part is called a spinnaker crane and places the block for the halyard above and out front of the forestay.
