Purchasing a new spinnaker. I have a hunter 380. What are your thoughts on an asymmetrical? I will be mostly cruising and some fun racing.
I have a choice of two manufactures UK SAILS OR NORTH SAILS, can you give me some feed back on them?

Asymm is easy to fly but not ddw. Get a sock to go with it. Hope you have a pair winch at coaming and turning blocks at both sides of arch.

I have a North asym with dousing sock and bag. I am happy with it but the reason I went with North is the service they had when I was asking questions. UK didn't get back to me before I made the purchase.

Ditto what Ken said about asym being easy to fly but not ddw. I singlehandle my boat and set the asym as often as I can in light to moderate winds. The sock makes it a no hassle job. Mine is a North and I'm very pleased with it. Have no experience with UK so can't comment. Good luck with the decision.

UK Asym.

I have a UK Asym spinnaker and sock with a bag. I also singlehand and am very happy with the UK sail, but with that said do your home work for your application.:)

P.S. Check the sail makers websites.
