I have recently purchased a 1970, 23' Oday and would like to replace all of the sheets and any related ropes for my boat. I have not set the mast and sails up yet and will not do so until spring. I was wondering if anyone could hook me up with a complete sheet and rope list so that I could buy new. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Well, not as straight forward as u might think. Some measurements u do not have yet? What size jib do u have? How tall is your mast? Why don't you wait till spring, check your rig out well, then see what u need.macsail said:

When it's on the spool it's called rope, once off the spool it's called line.
There is very little, if any, rope on a boat.
...in addition to length measurements you also need to consider diameter, based on line use and any sheaves/blocks it must pass through.
Ideally you will have the old lines to go by.

See if you can get another 22 owner to talk to. But generally for a 22 foot boat, sheets and halyards are usually around 3/8 of an inch in thickness. Smaller line will carry the loads but is very hard on your hands. Even with gloves. Erniel

Captain Herring tried his best and original owner of document never was identified. If some has a good copy of this Punta Gorda document, we all would like a readable copy.
