Hi, O'day 25 novice owner here - how would one know when it is time to replace your standard rigging? Your running rigging? Thanks.

Replace your
standing rigging when a visual or physical inspection shows kinks, broken strands, corrosion, frays or in the case of terminal fittings cracks. There is a method of painting with some kind of penetrant, that shows hairline cracks, but I cannot remember the name of the stuff. running rigging should be replaced when the outer portion has worn through chafed in at least one area. This is usually at a block or cleat.
