Wow, what a difference a new rudder makes, although I have only had my 1996 H26 for 6 weeks, I put a new rudder on it from Idasailor. I must say, this new rudder does as advertised. The boat points better and just handles better around. This greatly improves the the feel of the boat. It is so well balanced, you will think you have a different boat. Anyway, I just thought I would share my experience, this is the best $340 I have spent on any sailboat. Ken

I think I have the first 26 rudder they made. Unfortunately my boat's not in the water yet. Just a couple more weeks. I'm really looking forward to seeing (feeling) the differance for myself.

Idasailor's website offers replacement rudder blades for the 260, which is a different design than the 26, isn't it?

Phil, I did purchase my rudder from the Huter webb site. I called and may have talked to you about the rudder, and you were right. It does make a big difference on the boat. I have raced many different boats over the last 25 years and I think I know what a well balanced rudder feels like and performs like. This rudder does all of the above. Thanks for exposing this great upgrade for the H26. Ken Lockhart
