I have a 1984 Hunter 31 Shoal draft with the Yanmar 2GMF engine and a 2 blade fixed prop. I want to change to a 3 blade fixed prop. Has anyone done this and if so what size and pitch prop did you go to?

Do NOT use any specs that you did not get from the prop shop. They have a form and will size it for you.

I have a Martec folding prop on my Hunter 28.5 that I installed a couple years back. Martec had me get the gear ratio from the transmission name plate. From this and clearance dimensions, Martec recommended prop size and pitch. I've been happy with my Martec, although I hear Gori prop owners really like them too.
