Is there a better prop for the 28.5 other than the stock 2-bladed one?

Some.

Hi Lou: How much money do you have? If you were a racer, you would want to look at a folding prop. If you have too much money you should look at a feathering prop. If you want to sail slower you should look at a three blade prop. If you're cheap like me you should call Kilians in San Leandro and see what they have to offer. You take them your prop and for $130 you will motor better, back straight and sail just as fast.

New Prop

I installed a Flex-O-Fold geared folding prop. It works great - adequate thrust and better speed under sail. Folding props have their downside though, they don't work as well in reverse as a fixed blade prop. However, the Flex-O-Fold works better in reverse than some other folding props i've seen

Thanks

Thanks, Paul and Steve. Not much of a racer...unless someone is moving up on me. Think I'll check Steve's contact.
