New parts to organize the Halyards

I got a new Garhauer Deck Organizer (2 line) for my 68th birthday. Now I think I will locate it where the old dagger board single is and run the Main and Dagger board on the starboard side. Then I can install the old single on the port side for the Jib.
What do you all think, good- not good? This will be first time I drill holes on the deck.

I have two blocks to attach at the bottom of the mast.

1988 Mac 26D.

If it makes it easier for you to handle your boat, Why not. Anything that makes it easier for me to sail my boat is a no brainer. Id be on that one in a heartbeat.

Yup, staying off the deck when out on the water is a good thing. That gust of wind comes from no where every time. .
