Just above the listing of posts you'll see a new link to 'owner reviews, photos, etc.' We have more than 3,000 reviews (and roughly the same number of photos) on file currently, but they're mostly concentrated on a dozen or so boats. Please click the link above and if you don't find data for your boat... add it! I think you'll particularly like the photo system. Photos are automatically sized so you don't need to worry about editing them if you don't know how. They must be jpeg format. I also hope you've found some of the shared forums we offer: Peggie Hall's Head Mistress forum, Ask All Sailors, and Don Guilette's Sail Trim forum among them. If you have questions or comments about this new addition, or anything else on the site, you can contact me at phil@sailboatowners.com Thanks for participating!

1st posting

I have owned a 1987 Newport 30 for the past 4 years, and just love to sail this boat. It came with complete sunbrella dodger, bimini, sailcover, backdrop, winchcovers and a boom tent. fullset of instruments, VHF radio, and in mint condition. I'm retired and try to sail everyday, depending on how much work i have to do around the house for that day, the marina is 12 minutes away from my house and we sail the Niagara River and Lake Erie. This year I'm buying a new full set of sails from Doyle.

I am starting a boat search , and will be looking at a Newport 30. I am 6feet tall, and wonder about height below. The newport 30 has a lower ballast to dislacement ratio than my previous boat. Is the Newport reasonably stiff? Carl

I'm 6'3" and have no problem with my Newport 30

I have owned a Newport 30 MkIII for twenty years now and enjoy ample head room. I'm six three and there is six four of headroom in the center of the boat. Larry
