hello I just bought 1977 C-25 swing keel in need of love...
I found water in front of toilet in the head and some at the front where the sewer water tank is.
My layout is a dinette, I also found some water under the seats.
I must say that I brought her home with both cockpit seat cover removed (broken hinges) and the solar vent is gone on the hatch. So I can understand that water came in... but what I do not understand is there no communication between the front - mid and back zones in the boat... I would assume like a fixed keel have some kind of a bilge that the water gather and where we would put an automatic pump.
Why brings me to my other question... where should I put that automatic pump?

Don’t know about the head area but water under the dinette seat especially the aft seat may be due to a leak in the cockpit scupper drain tubes. My daughter’s 81 swing keel dinette version had a leak from the aft port scupper. The water would migrate down the center of the hull and flow around the galley sink area to the dinette. Sometimes I pulled out several gallons. Once I removed the tube and sealed the perimeter but still let it drain to the exterior that leak was fixed...finally.
