Hello everyone, i am looking for a diver to clean my hull and change zincs. A canvass person to make my bimini bigger and recanvas, make a new canvas for my dodger and a new mainsail cover. I would also like an engine person to check a few thing out and look the engine over for me. I also need some minor fiberglass work done. Any referrals appreciated.

no info on divers for hull cleaning/zincs but for canvas try North Sails (504) 831 1775 (Benz or Jackson) or West Wind Sails (985) 626 5638 (Dave). For boat repairs on the south side of the lake, try Sintes Boat Works (504) 288 7281 or M G Mayer Yacht (504) 282 1700. Either can set you up with an engine related company. its been a while since i have used either Sintes or MG Mayer but both are reputable in the area.

For dive work, a lot of people go to Ricardo Gutierrez, 504-250-0213. For engine work in the Slidell area, Casadaban Marine Service, 985-643-6505. BTW, West Wind Sails is now Ullman Sails, but still the same great people.

They are in across the lake, but did my new sail, perfect job and canvas rework, resealed my Helm window in my bimini.

Seabrook Yacht Repair 504-283-6001 is a pretty good place too. I haven't been around there in a while but they have a pretty good reputation. They are on the Industrial Canal just south of the Seabrook bridge at the Lakefront airport.
