I finished installing (well, finished in the major part of the work, sense) the nave station electronics. We went with the Standard Horizon VHF with AIS (the 2100). It appears that the VHF, am/fm and iPod dock are all working. I hooked a GPS antenna directly to the VHF for the AIS. Although I can't test the AIS or VHF yet (there are no boats in the water, and the mast is down so I don't have an antenna), it appears the GPS is working. It showed current lat/long with the antenna inside the cabin, which is inside a large shed.
I haven't tested the output to my computer (and nav software) yet. I'll try to check that next weekend. I'll snap a couple photos, too. I also still have to install some small speakers for the stereo.
I guess that means that next year will be the galley. I'm pretty much out of excuses.
