Hi All,
I recently put up a MSN Community site that may be of some interest.
The URL is http://communities.msn.com/SVLealeaandCrew
All of my Vega photos are there including some of your boats and some
other pictures and graphics I have found on the web and have used or
plan to use in the newsletter. I have archived the full color
version of the first three editions of the AVA News there in kdf
format which I will be changing to pdf as soon as I can con my boss
into buying Adobe Acrobat 4.0 for me. The first issue is in MSPub
format. I'm still working on the site just for fun and to get some
of the bulkier files off my hard drive. There are a lot of photos
that may be of interest, including 130 pics from our trip on
Endeavour from Vancouver to Fiji via Hawaii and 22 pics of our
wedding aboard Falls of Clyde.
In the future I'll be posting the pdf version of the AVA news there
in the archive files as the next issue comes out on paper, or one
issue behind. I will also post The VODCA Vega Maintenance Manual in
an archive file and any photos that are submitted of members boats in
the "Sisterships" album. No pictures of Lealea yet, I still have to
get a digital camera.
This is NOT intended to be the official AVA web site. I's just our
personal photo album and family web site which happens to have a lot
of Vega and square rigger sailing stuff that some of you may be
interested in seeing. There is also a lot of motorcycle stuff there
since Laura is very active in the HRRA and I am an officer of the RMC
and both of us work in the motorcycle industry.
Check it out. Membership is free and automatic.
Aloha,
Chuck Rose
