I purchased a Cold -machine from someone who had been told by many people that the module in his unit was bad. The unit would make a high pitched squeal and then promtly blow the fuse. He sold me the unit dirt cheap. I bought a Danfoss module that wasn't. After replacing the module, it still does the same thing. Does this suggest a bad compressor. What kind of money to replace it? It is an R-12 unit. Should I just bite the bullet and buy a new unit? Please help the beer is way too warm. Thank You,, Scott

Compressors

Save yourself time and money and but a new one. I had the same problem on an older unit, installed a new module, and cried until the good people at Adler Barbour agreed to test, then take the new module back with a full credit. I bought a new Cold Machine (the first was ten years old when it failed), and have not regretted the decision. The new one is quieter, runs less, and cools better. Good luck
